3 studios. Holds about 100 people in total (They each hold 50, 25, and 25 people). Odaiko equipped in the biggest room.

  • Train >> Take Tokyo Metro Line to Gaienmae Station which is the closest station to our studio. Walk west on Aoyama Street for 3 minutes and turn right on Gaiennichi Street and you will see a Starbucks. In a minute you will see it on the left. The studio is in basement floor. Take Tokyo Metro Line to Omotesandou Station. Walk north-east on Aoyama Street for 6 minutes and turn left on Gaiennichi Street and you will see a Starbucks. In a minute you will see it on your left. The studio is in basementfloor.

  • Foot >> From Gaienmae station: 5 minutes on foot
    From Shibuya : 8 minutes by subway and 5 minutes on foot ,or 30 minutes on foot

  • From Shinjuku Station >> Take JR Yamanote Line (Inner circle) to Shibuya Station. Switch to Tokyo Metro Ginza Line to Gaienmae Station. (18 minutes)
    Take Toei Oedo Line to Aoyama Ichoume.Switch to Tokyo Metro Ginza Line to Gaienmae Station. (23 minutes)

All of our studios are soundproof, and In September 2006, we renovated our studios with shiratake charcoal (white bamboo charcoal), a negative ion generator, which creates a relaxing atmosphere for guests.

We also have an in-studio store with a selection of Taiko drums, drumsticks, Japanese style socks and other goods that you are free to browse before and after your classes.

  • Train >> Take Hankyu Line to Omiya Station which is the closest station to our studio. Walk south for 7-8 minutes on Omiya Street and you will see it on your right.

  • Bus >> #207, #206 or #71 will stop right in front of our building. The bus stop is called Omiya Matsubara.
    Most tourists of Kyoto take bus and train, which are very convenient. We recommend a website called Bus and train Veteran Arukumachi KYOTO Route Planner. You can learn how to use these transportation system (ex. you can learn about fare, how to pay, and types of bus. Also, you can check bus time table and bus stop information. Bus route map is very usuful.

  • Foot >> From Toji temple (five-story pagoda): Walk north on Omiya street 30 minutes and you will see it on your left
    From Nijo Castle: Walk south on Omiya street for 25 minutes and you will see it on your right

  • From Kyoto Station >> train - Take Karasuma Line to Shijo Station, and without leaving the underground go to Karasuma Station (they are connected). From Karasuma Station, take Hankyu Line to Omiya Station. Walk south for 7-8 minutes on Omiya Street and you will see it on your right.
    Foot - Walk out of North exit (the side with Kyoto Tower), and turn left on the Shiokoji Street. In few minutes you will see a major road called Horikawa Street. Turn right (towards north) on Horikawa Street and stay on it for 20 minutes until you hit Gojo Street. Turn left on Gojo Street and soon turn right on Omiya Street. Just in few minutes after you pass your first light, you should see our building on your left.

At this location, we have 3 dedicated studios for daily Taiko classes!

  • Train >> Take Hankyu Kyoto/Kobe/Takarazuka Line to Hankyu Nakatsu Station which is right next to Umekita studio.
    Walk out of the only station exit and go down the stairs. Immediately turn left and you will see a convenience store in front of you and a park on your left. Walk towards the park and you will see the studio on the left side of the street

    *You can also walk for 10 minutes from Subway Nakatsu Station (Midosuji Line), but Hankyu Nakatsu Station is closer.

  • Foot >> From Nakatsu station (Hankyu railways): 1 minutes on foot
    From Nakatsu station (Subway): 10 minutes on foot
    From Osaka station: 20 minutes on foot

KOBE

KOBE Studio

• ADDRESS: San Plaza Shopping Mall (Basement Floor 1), 1-8-1 Sannomiya-cho, Chuo-ku, Kobe-shi, Hyogo

This studio is located in the basement of the San Plaza Shopping Mall, nearby the town center. Taiko lessons are held here daily.

  • Foot >> From Sannomiya station (All lines): 5 minutes on foot
    *It is very confusing to find us if you are underground, so follow this direction!

  • 1. Please get out of the station from any SOUTH-WEST exit and get to the national highway route 2.
    2. Then turn left on the first street - you will see Spazio Slot (pachinko store) and an arcade entrance to San Plaza Shopping Mall (さんプラザ in Japanese). *Photo#1
    3. Walk into the arcade, and soon you will see a Chinese steamed bun store called Taiheikaku on your right. *Photo#2
    4. On the left of the bun store is an elevator that will take you right to our studio. Take it down to the basement floor, and you will find us on your right.
